Malika left me speechless and in tears, literally! Her energy + vision created a space for pure magic and vulnerability and captured every moment.
I’ve been in business for years and have worked with a few photographers - they have captured beautiful images. HHS captured beautiful images, steeped in authenticity, that organically told a story… MY story!

HOW WILL WE PLAN MY SHOOT?

(02)

During our initial discovery call, we will discuss your vision, an overview of my style of work, and answer any questions you may have about what to expect. This is a collaborative experience. We will work together to align your vision and goals with the project. The process starts with an in-depth questionnaire and evaluation of your social channels, online platforms, and more—all designed to help us understand where we can enhance your brand visuals. During our strategy session, we will discuss location ideas, stories/concepts, outfit ideas, props, etc.

Where are you based and do you travel?

(03)

I’m based in Sacramento, CA, and yes, I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. But no worries, I always try to find the cheapest way to come because I love to being able to accommodate our clients in a way that is beneficial for both parties. All travel expenses are based on the distance between your event location(s). The primary purpose is to provide adequate compensation for our team.

When will I get my photos?

(04)

Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum 3-4 weeks (sometimes less depending on the session). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

How many pictures will I receive?

(05)

The photos delivered are dependent on the session package. A standard branding session includes up to 45 images with the option to purchase more a la carte.

How do I reserve my date?

(06)

All dates are reserved once we receive your signed contract and retainer deposit.

If I cancel my session, will I receive our retainer fee back?

(07)

Unfortunately no. Retainer fees are used to reserve your date. Once we’ve reserved your date, we do not accept new clients for your date.

What rights do I have to the digital prints?

(08)

You have the right to reprint images whenever and wherever you want. However, you may not sell your images for profit or publish your images without the written consent of Humphrey House Studios LLC, unless specified in your contract.

Photographic imagery and videos are the intellectual property of the photographer/videography who created it. Therefore the photographer owns the copyright to their work. This intellectual property is then licensed for specific uses to an end-user in the form of a contract. The usage license states how an image can be used, where an image can be used and for how long that image can be used.

How can I use the images?

(10)

Our Branding/Commercial fee comes with a commercial usage license allowing you permission to use the photos on your website and social media outlets. Any magazines, publications, or other brands/organizations interested in using the images should be referred to me to purchase a use license.

What is the difference between a branding and portrait session?

(11)

A branding photoshoot is centered around your brand’s identity, the purpose of the images and where they will be utilized. The difference between the two are the goal, intention, planning, poses and time. A branding shoot is consistent with the brand and is shot with the intent to sell. A portrait session's intent is to make you feel comfortable and natural while capturing memories that make you happy.

It is recommended to book a month in advance to allow for planning, logistics, and securing a location(s).

WHAT IS A SHOT LIST IN COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY?

(14)

A shot list is simply a numbered checklist with a corresponding description of each photograph in the form of an outline. It is your job as the client to be able to describe your commercial photography needs in detail. And the best way to do that is by having a descriptive shot list in place.

WHAT ABOUT FINDING A SPACE OR LOCATION?

(15)

We typically shoot on location, at your place of business or office, or at clients' homes, or you can consider renting space from Airbnb, PeerSpace, or Home Studio List or at an hourly rate. Unless otherwise noted in your package, the rental fee for any space is your responsibility.
