Case Study A

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.

(Don McCullin)

Holding Space is a Sacramento-based nonprofit, founded by Psychologist, Shacunda Rogers, Ph.D., supported by leadership team Psychologists Tameka Jackson, Ph.D., and Malakai Coté, Ph.D., offering a safe place for people of the African Diaspora to heal from the harms of race-based trauma and living within systems of oppression by offering a wide range of holistic wellness services.

We helped Holding Space with developing their visual narrative with brand photography and videography. We partnered with their amazing team and web designer to create content that was both impactful and accessible. Our goal was to create content that would speak to Holding Space's mission and vision while also reflecting the core values of their organization: Empowerment, community building, healing through culture, African-centered healing practices, collaborative, heart-centered, and liberatory services.
